While browsing through WWD, Vogue, and InStyle’s Met Gala recaps this morning, I decided to put together a collection of my favorites from last night. I love the rougher punk style, but these starlets made it so glamorous and beautiful and I had to share. Who were some of your favorites?

I love mixing different elements together when I’m getting dressed in the mornings. It just gives you a little edge and adds some spice to your outfit. Today I paired a cream silky/lace dress with a military jacket, thigh high socks, and combat boots. You can keep these manly pieces feminine by adding a silk little dress like I did or a crop top and high waisted shorts would be really cute as well.

I’m going to Coachella this year and obviously needed the perfect flower headband. After many hours of pouring over YouTube and DIY blogs I found a really good tutorial on making the perfect headband/crown for Coachella!

Today is National Margarita day…I know amazing…and I decided to share the most delicious Mango Margarita recipe with you! What is your favorite margarita?
Mango Margarita
8 ounce mango pulp
1 1/2 ounce clear tequila
1 ounce orange liqueur (Cointreau) or Triple Sec
1/2 ounce lemon juice
Ice
Blend all ingredients in the blender and serve in cup garnished with mango. Rim edges with salt and pepper and serve frozen.

I read the most inspiring story and I had to share it. After listening to women rant about Valentines day yesterday and say not having a valentine made them feel bad about themselves and ugly, I laughed. Not in a malicious way because they didn’t have a significant other, but because it could be so much worse. Women get down on themselves for so many reasons and let it ruin their day. Most of the time “not feeling good about yourself or not feeling beautiful” is the main issue.
Jill Brzezinski-Conley, a terminal breast cancer patient, took a stand on this issue by doing a Paris inspired fashion shoot to inspire women that beauty can be found in even the most unexpected situations. She did it to educate women on breast cancer and that you can still be beautiful with cancer. I had every intention of putting up a song every day this week and well Monday it didn’t happen. Give me some slack though…I mean it was Monday aka the worst day of the week.
