When I go to flea markets I am usually looking for one of two things, either vintage furniture or handmade jewelry. Sometimes I see some cool vintage boots or something, but never would I consider getting clothes from there…until now.

A little place in the corner called Razzberry Beret had the most gorgeous lace and crochet clothes. All very boho and loose. I got this dress for $49.99 and the scarf for $12.50

And for all of you who are wondering (I get this a lot) my hair is naturally wavy, but I use Bumble and Bumble surf spray and John Frieda blonde mousse in my hair. I let it air dry then use a diffuser for 2-3 minutes.

This ring cost $1. Yes, I know it IS just like the one that Marc by Marc Jacobs had a couple years ago that I paid $30 for. Sigh…

I’m obsessed with these cheap old boots I got years ago because they go perfectly with these lacey frilly dresses.

After seeing the photo of Elle Macpherson in tie-dye Isabel Marant jeans, a friend of mine and I HAD to have them. However, they don’t exactly fit into our budget so we got crafty.

Materials:

Skinny denim (skinnies from Forever 21 for $10 found here)
bleach
rubber bands
rubber gloves
plastic container

Steps:

1. If the jeans haven’t already been pre-washed, run it through the washing machine first.

2. Fill up your bucket with cold water. Soak your jeans in water until completely wet

3. Ring them out

4. Tie as many or as little rubber bands as you want onto your jeans. There is no right or wrong way to do this, the more rubber bands you tie on the more darker patches you will have.

5. Fill your bucket again with water and add half a bottle of bleach.

6. Using your rubber gloves place your jeans into water.

7. Depending on how light you want the tie dye parts to be, leave your jeans in the bucket for a few hours, checking constantly. It is also a good idea to place something heavy on top of the jeans to keep them under water.

8. Once you are happy with the colour, rinse the jeans in cold water and let them set for an 1/2 hour or so then proceed to wash them as usual.

9. Enjoy and work those sexy jeans out!

Almost everyone I know, has Instagram and either keeps their photos on their phone or uploads them to Facebook and Twitter. But what about those of us that like to do crafts? I tried, as I’m sure most of you have to print Instagram pics and it is impossible.

Do not fret! I have found a way! Kanvess.com prints Instagram photos in tiny 3×3 squares just as they appear on Instagram. It only costs $.025 each and there is a minimum order of 6 prints ($1.50) and there is no maximum order. Needless to say I’m obsessed. Your prints are sent to you in a couple days in a cute orange envelope. You have to check this out!

In the spirit of Father’s Day, I decided to do a menswear post. There are so many cute clothes for guys, and I feel that they just don’t know where to look. I mean come on ladies you know you not only want your man to look good, but you want to be able to steal his clothes to pull off that borrow from a boy look.

I know a lot of young dads that would much rather prefer a spruce up on their wardrobe than some junky cologne or sports team shirt. I love the hippie’s style, but without all the flowers, peace signs and flares. I like when it’s just a naturalistic look with earth tones. I found this cream maxi dress and copper leather sandals. I pared brown and gold Bebe bangles.

Being a Nashville native makes it my moral imperitive to do at least one post on CMA Festival. I didn’t attend the actual shows at night, but I went to a ton of the free things all up and down Broadway during the day and evenings. Saturday was my favorite day because I saw Randy Montana, an old high school friend of mine, as well as Johnny T. They are both not only talented musicians, but are so nice inside and out.

Interestingly enough, Randy Montana is signed with Mercury Nashville (by Universal), which is where I am this week enjoying the theme parks in Orlando. Enough of the chatting, here are the photos, but put something over your keyboard because you might drool a little bit.

Being summer, we are all out in our swimsuits all of the time. There are so many types of bodies and certain clothes are for certain types of bodies. Shouldn’t swimsuits follow that same standard? Through my research most of the swimsuits throughout the 50s, 60s, and 70s have looked phenomenal on women. Why? Because they are not so skimpy that they have side boob and muffin tops in the tiny bikinis.

I found this video and oh my god I love it. He shows the importance of the beat of the drum by showing its vitality through decades and decades of popular songs. He starts with Elvis then goes through the Beatles, Michael Jackson, the Rolling Stones, Nirvana, and ends with modern day bands such as Lady Gaga and Skrillex.

This video is kind of like a quick History of Rock Lesson. I took a History of Rock class in college and this kind of wraps up what we did in three months. Check out and let me know what you think. Do you know of anymore like this?

I went to the Journeys backyard BBQ tour in Nashville, TN on Saturday to see the All American Rejects…they rocked it! I was so surprised because they sounded and looked just like they did five years ago when I saw them at the Ryman Auditorium on their “Move Along” tour.

AAR are undoubtedly spot on when it comes to performing. They are so good live! Here are some photos from the event.
